"Batman Forever"

This QuickTime Movie is a 275K Download.  Matching a camera move on a Live Action plate of the boat, we programmed  the SPI Graphlite motion control camera and a model mover system to give the illusion that the Batwing is flying by. Complicating this effort was the fact that we had to photograph the model UPSIDE DOWN in order to get the camera by the model. It helped lighting it that way, too. Excellent composties by CIS.

Not for the impatient or 14.4k surfer.....this QuickTime Movie is a 1,925K Download.  But if you have the bandwidth or patience, this is a fine example of choreographed Motion Controlled Miniature photography. The backgrounds were photographed at a different scale than the Batwing Aircraft (1/24 vs 1/12 scale). Many, many passes were photographed including beauty, matte, lights, light shafts, engine flames, engine reactive lights, etc. The  technique was used to photograph the mattes. It worked beautifully. Excellent Composties by Don Lee and Joni Jacobson at CIS.
